Final store closing sale begins Sunday the 29th.

Kirby Foods, Inc, an operator of IGA grocery stores in the East Central Illinois and West Central Indiana areas, announce the pending sale of the Jerry's IGA store on Kirby Avenue in Champaign and the Rantoul IGA store in Rantoul to Niemann Foods, Inc., the operator of the local County Markets. The Jerry's IGA store in the Round Barn Shopping Center will be closed. Employees of the three locations will have the opportunity to interview for jobs with County Market. The two continuing locations will operate under the County Market banner. It is anticipated that the transfer will occur within 45-60 days.

The decision to exit these markets has been a very difficult decision for Kirby Foods. We are keenly aware of the impact on our employees and customers and regret that we are unable to continue to operate these stores. We certainly appreciate the hard work of our employees and the patronage of our loyal customers over these many years.
